To practice mindfulness, we should start with ourselves. Focus on yourself and silently (without speaking) repeat the following prayer:
I pray for MYSELF:
(1) To be free from danger,
(2) To be free from mental suffering,
(3) To be free from physical suffering,
(4) To have happiness and well-being.

Practice mindfulness by starting with oneself and repeat until you truly feel at peace, relaxed, and happy. Then direct your mindfulness and loving-kindness towards anyone you want to share your love and kindness with, silently repeating:
I pray for THIS KIND PERSON:
(1) To be free from danger,
(2) To be free from mental suffering,
(3) To be free from physical suffering,
(4) To have happiness and well-being.

Repeat this several times until you feel that person in your mind becoming joyful, healthy, peaceful and happy. Your mind and their mind will become united, without anger, resentment, or tension, and with a warm heart.
We can practice this every day, every hour, in any position or circumstance, to keep our mind always peaceful and loving.

Practicing mindfulness will make life much more beautiful and bring many benefits to the self and others.
